Two Ukrainians in Russian service are behind the sabotage in Poland, claims the Polish Prime Minister

“The intensive work of the secret services and the police made it possible to identify the persons responsible for the sabotage. In both cases, we are sure that these were intentional acts and their goal was to lead to a disaster in rail transport. The identified persons are two citizens of Ukraine who have been cooperating with the Russian secret services for a long time,” said Tusk.

“We found out the identity and we have pictures of the perpetrators,” Tuska is quoted as saying by Gazeta Wyborcza.

According to him, immediately after the sabotage, the suspects left Poland through the crossing in Terespol on the border with Belarus, from where they got to Poland. This happened even before it was possible to find out their identity, the Prime Minister said.

In the past, one was convicted in Lviv for sabotage committed in Ukraine, the other suspect comes from the Donbas in the east of Ukraine. He did not mention the names of the suspected prime ministers, referring to ongoing operations.

On the weekend, the railway line between Warsaw and Lublin in eastern Poland, which is used, among other things, to transport weapons for Ukraine, was damaged by an explosion – according to Prime Minister Donald Tusk, it was sabotage. No one was injured. The Polish Prosecutor’s Office has launched an investigation into acts of sabotage and terrorism against the railway, committed for foreign intelligence.

According to Tusk, the target of the explosion was a train from Warsaw to Demblin. The track is used to transport weapons for Ukraine. Tusk promised that Poland would catch the perpetrators regardless of who was behind the attack.
