Trump’s fans came across pictures of a fake influencer. It was created by an Indian student to have money for his studies

It all started with the fact that one day the resourceful medical student ran out of money he had from his parents to pay for his studies. Therefore, he asked AI what he should do to get additional funding to finish school and then move to the USA, where he intends to work as a specialist in the field of surgery and orthopedics.

AI devised a model for him to target a specific audience, for example, older men and supporters of the pro-Trump MAGA (Make America Great Again) movement. The recommendation was based on the fact that older men tend to be more loyal followers on social networks and also have more money to spend.

Thus was born – also with the use of AI – the fictional character of a young nurse named Emily Hart, a charming blonde who professes the conservative and patriotic to nationalistic attitudes of Trump’s voters.

On a fake Instagram account, the Indian started publishing pictures of Emily in a bikini styled in the American flag, with a red cap with the slogan MAGA or drinking beer in ice water or handling a weapon.

Emily supplemented the fake content with comments defending Christian attitudes, the right to bear arms, the ban on abortion, and was sharply opposed to immigration or excessive political correctness.

“Christ is king, abortion is murder, and all illegals must be deported,” read one of the posts, according to The New York Post.

Within a month, the community of followers grew to ten thousand and the number of views of the fake influencer’s posts reached millions. Then Emily switched to a paid channel with more titillating images, whose operator allowed content created with the help of AI.

“I devoted 30, maybe 50 minutes of time a day to content creation. And the money kept pouring in,” the student later confirmed in an interview with the technical magazine Wired. During the interview, he appeared under the pseudonym Sam, so as not to jeopardize his future medical career.

“You don’t make that much money in India, even in highly skilled professions. I haven’t seen any easier way to make money,” Sam continued.

But his fiction was later revealed when some of the users of social networks suspected that there was no Emily in reality. This February, Instagram canceled the profile of the fictional influencer.

Sam has no remorse and does not even consider himself a fraud. Now, according to the daily Blick, he wants to fully concentrate on completing his studies. “I have already saved enough money for that,” he confirmed.
