The former president of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani announced through the Facebook network that she has received a letter from the American president Donald Trump.
“I thank President Trump for the letter sent at the end of my term, as well as for the assessment he made of our work! As the President of the USA emphasizes in this letter, we welcome the continuation of cooperation in the years to come“, writes Osmani.
In the letter addressed to the former president, the head of the White House appreciates the achievements during the cooperation between the two countries, singling out Kosovo’s participation in the Peace Board, founded by Trump at the end of January. The American president also appreciates the legacy left by Osmani in the direction of the state of Kosovo.
“You will leave behind an important legacy that will shape the future of your country, the Balkan region and all of Europe. You have always been a trusted friend and partner of the United States of America and I look forward to continuing our cooperation in the years to come.“, is written in Trump’s message.
Vjosa Osmani completed the term of the president on April 8, while Kosovo has not yet chosen her successor.
