The murder of Liridona Ademaj, Naim Murseli and Granit Plava are sentenced to life imprisonment

The Basic Court of Pristina, through the Department for Serious Crimes, sentenced Naim Murseli to life imprisonment for the murder of his wife, Liridona Ademaj.

The other accused, Granit Plava, was also punished with the same maximum sentence.

In this case, Kushtrim Kokalla was also accused, as part of the suspected scheme for organizing and committing the murder.

According to the Prosecutor’s Office, the murder was carried out in a planned manner and in the presence of the victim’s children. In the final words, the prosecutor Javorka Perlinqevič asked for the maximum sentence for all the accused, stressing that the motives are related to marital relations and financial gain.

She stated that the evidence proved that Naim Murseli had planned the murder of his wife, while the tragic act happened in the presence of their two children, aged 4 and 6 at the time of the incident.

“In this judicial review, it has been proven that in June 2022, the Murseli family paid the insurance policy in the name of Liridona Murseli. Immediately after, Naimi asked Kushtrim Kokalla to find a way to kill Liridona, which means that the life insurance policy for Liridona was knowingly paid for,” declared the prosecutor.

On the other hand, the defense of the accused contested the accusations during the judicial process.
