The Assembly of Kosovo observes 1 minute of silence in honor of academician Rexhep Qosja

Academician Rexhep Qosja passed away at the age of 89, leaving behind works that are an irreplaceable contribution to our national memory. In honor of his life and figure, the Assembly of Kosovo observed a minute of silence. The proposal was made by the Speaker of the Parliament, Albulena Haxhiu, who praised Qosen as one of the prominent figures of Albanian thought and a tireless activist for the national issue.

“We have received bitter news about the academician and intellectual Rexhep Qosja. He was an outstanding figure of Albanian thought, researcher, writer and tireless activist for the national issue. As a sign of respect for his life and work, we invite you to observe a minute of silence“, said Haxhiu.

Meanwhile, the head of the socialist parliamentary group, Taulant Balla, in today’s plenary session, proposed a minute’s silence by the Assembly of Albania in honor of the work of the late academician Rexhep Qosja.

“I believe you are all familiar with the very sad news of the death of academician Rexhep Qosja, whose work is an irreplaceable contribution to our national memory, our conscience and our dignity as a nation.

At a certain moment, when you appreciate it, during today’s day, let’s remember his work by keeping a minute of silence. His family has announced that there will be no official ceremony and has requested privacy, but in appreciation of the contribution and historical value that this personality holds, I believe that it is in the dignity of the Assembly to observe a minute of silence”. declared Balla.
