As Fairpress informed the Slovak Ministry of Defense on behalf of the Slovak side, the contract was signed by Martin Čatloš, the General Director of the Modernization Section, Lubor Koudelka, the Chief Director of the Armaments and Acquisitions Section of the Czech Ministry of Defense, and Martin Sekanina, the company executive, on behalf of Tatra Defense Systems.
The framework agreement allows alliance partners to join it, and Slovakia, as a close partner of the Czech Republic, was the first to join it.
“Slovakia’s involvement in trade with the Ministry of Defense of the Czech Republic will be more effective and, above all, cheaper for both ministries,” stated the communication department of the Slovak Ministry of Defense in its written report.
The Czech Ministry of Defense wants to buy 872 Tatra trucks. The resort intends to acquire three types of Tatra T-815 cars by 2031 as a replacement for outdated technology. The first several dozen vehicles should be delivered by Tatra Defense Systems as early as next year.
