The first station that exceeded the temperature of 25 °C was Plzeň-Bolevec. It happened on Saturday at 1 pm. In the end, Pilsen was also the warmest in the entire country, Saturday’s maximum temperature here reached 27.5 °C.
This is the hottest day this year. The highest temperature so far was on Easter Sunday, April 5, when it was 24.9 °C in Dyjákovice.
This Saturday, a summer day was recorded for the first time. Meteorologists refer to a summer day as one in which the temperature exceeds 25 °C.

Highest temperatures on Saturday, May 2
The highest temperatures were in Pilsen and Polabí on Saturday, but the summer day was also recorded in the Ústecký, South Bohemian, Hradec Králové, Liberec regions and Prague. According to the database of the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute (ČHMÚ), a total of 47 stations had 25 °C or more on Saturday.
It can be even warmer on Sunday. The weather should still be sunny, and especially in Polabí, temperatures can rise to a tropical 30 °C. Mostly, however, temperatures will range between 23 and 27 °C.
After the weekend, it will start to cool down again, but on Monday, temperatures should rise above 25 °C in the hottest places.
