It is not yet clear what happened on the way between Žabčice and Přísnotice. “The cyclist was riding an electric bike, it still goes faster than a normal bike,” Chaloupka indicated one of the possible causes.
In connection with the tragic accident, rescue workers appeal for prevention and compliance with safety measures, especially wearing protective equipment when riding a bicycle. “Drivers of one-wheel and two-wheel vehicles should be tolerant of each other,” added Bothová.
The road was closed until about 10 p.m., and is now passable.
