Kosovo’s acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, at the same time chairman of the Vetevendosje Movement, said that once the Kosovo Assembly is constituted, they will elect the new government. He answered in this way the question of the possibility of forming an interim government, an idea proposed by his coalition partner, alternative party leader Mimoza Kusari-Lila.
“We are the government in office, as soon as the Assembly starts, we choose the new government. I am in the seventh month of the fifth year of four years, so it is more than it was. The first time was less than it is, and the third time it will be exactly,” Kurti told KosovaPress.
Members of the Assembly of Kosovo are awaiting the publication of the full decision of the Constitutional Court for the constituent hearing, as on September 30, this body said that the Assembly, launched on April 15, is still called unconscious, as the Serb community has not yet been elected. The constitution has ordered MPs to constitute the ninth legislature within a 12-day period after it publishes the full decision, but without specifying the legal consequences if the legislature is not met.
