The President of the Albanian National Olympic Committee, Fidel Ylli, hosted senior leaders of international and regional Olympic institutions in an important working meeting, as part of the preparations for the organization of the Mediterranean Games “Prishtina 2030”.
The President of the Mediterranean Games “Prishtina 2030” and at the same time the President of the Olympic Committee of Malta, Julian Pace Bonello, the Secretary General of the ICMG, Iakovos Filippousis, the President of the Olympic Committee of Kosovo, Ismet Krasniqi, the vice-president Milaim Kelmendi, as well as the adviser to the Minister of Sports of Kosovo, Drilon Brahimi, took part in the meeting.
The meeting took place within the framework of inspections and coordination for the preparations of the Mediterranean Games “Prishtina 2030”, an event that is considered historic for sports in Kosovo and the region. In this organization, Durrës will have an important role as a supporting city for the development of all water sports.
During the meeting, President Fidel Ylli presented the developments and achievements of Albanian sports in recent years, focusing on the transformation of the Albanian National Olympic Committee and investments in sports infrastructure, organization and international cooperation.
President Julian Pace Bonello was impressed by the hospitality and progress of Albanian sports, appreciating the support and strategic cooperation for the success of the Mediterranean Games “Prishtina 2030”.
Meanwhile, the General Secretary of the ICMG, Iakovos Filippousis, appreciated the contribution of Fidel Ylli in strengthening the cooperation between the Olympic institutions and in the development of sports in the region.
Even the President of the Kosovo Olympic Committee, Ismet Krasniqi, appreciated Fidel Ylli’s continuous support to Kosovo, stressing that his vision, energy and dedication remain an inspiration for the Albanian sports community.
The meeting confirmed the close cooperation between Kosovo and Albania for the organization of the Mediterranean Games “Prishtina 2030”, with the aim of this event becoming one of the most important sports organizations in the region and in the Mediterranean. /KosovaPress/
