Daniel Žižka is in the Eurovision final

Žižka performed fifth in the order on Thursday. He offered a composition in which genres are mixed and complemented. Together with producer Viliam Béreš, he is its author.

According to his words, in it he sings about the fact that everyone goes through many crossroads in life and all he has to do is follow his intuition.

The Czech Republic was announced as the last during the announcement of the advancers.

Žižka was born in 2003 in Prague. He has been composing songs since he was ten years old. He studied musicals at the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory and currently performs on concert and club stages in the country.

He played in the TV series Taneční or in the film The Case of the Bedbugs. He released several singles under the pseudonym Daniell, after which he started performing again under his own name. He plans to release his EP this year.

Norwegian singer Jonas Lovv caught the attention of the song built on a raw guitar riff.

In addition to him, contestants from Bulgaria, Ukraine, Norway, Australia, Romania, Malta, Cyprus, Albania and Denmark advanced to the finals.

The favorites are the Finns

From the first semi-final, which took place on Tuesday, singers from Israel, Greece, Finland, Belgium, Sweden, Moldova, Serbia, Croatia, Lithuania and Poland reached the final.

Competitors from the so-called big four, i.e. Great Britain, France, Italy and Germany, as well as the representative of Austria, automatically qualified for the finals.

Bookmakers from the world’s betting companies are currently betting on the winners of this year’s Eurovision on the representatives of Finland, i.e. Linda Lampenius and Pete Parkkonen. In their estimates, Greece is second, Australia is third, Denmark is fourth and Israel is fifth. The Czech Republic is in fourteenth position.

Leléka, the representative of Ukraine, also advanced to the finals.

Representatives of thirty-five countries are participating in the competition this year, which is two less than in 2025. Overall, this is the smallest number of participants since 2003, when the semi-finals were introduced.

The representatives of Iceland, Ireland, the Netherlands, Slovenia and Spain decided not to participate in the parade in protest against Israel’s launch. They do not identify with his foreign policy, especially the war he is waging in Gaza. It is the largest number of boycotting countries in the history of the competition since 1970.

On the other hand, contestants from Bulgaria, Moldova and Romania returned to Eurovision after their absence in recent years.
