The Assembly of Kosovo has approved the new government led by Albin Kurti with 62 votes in favor. The deputies of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, the Democratic League of Kosovo and the Alliance do not participate in the session, but only the legislators of the Serbian List and the deputies of the communities.
The new government cabinet remains unchanged in composition, while Kurti has also announced the priorities and commitments of the new government, stressing that there will not be a new exposition, since the repeated elections, according to him, have only interrupted the same government.
During the presentation of the cabinet, acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti also focused on the judicial process against the former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army, Hashim Thaçi, Jakup Krasniqi, Rexhep Selimi and Kadri Veseli.
Kurti said that in Kosovo there is anxiety on the eve of the decision and described the request of the Prosecution as unfair and unbelievable.
“We are all anxious on the eve of the decision of the judicial process against the leaders of the KLA, Hashim Thaçi, Jakup Krasniqi, Rexhep Selim and Kadri Veseli. The request of the Prosecutor’s Office is unfair, unbelievable, inconsistent with the historical truth of our people and the justice of our liberation war”, declared Kurti.
He emphasized that the position of the Government of Kosovo on this issue will remain the same and clear.
“Crimes against humanity, war crimes and genocide against the Albanian civilian population were committed in Kosovo. They were committed by the regime of Yugoslavia of Serbia, under the leadership of Milosevic. No local or international court can stain the KLA”, Kurti said.
