“They’re going to make a deal. They did something amazing yesterday. They gave us a gift. And the gift arrived today. It was a very big gift, worth a huge amount of money. And I’m not going to tell you what the gift was, but it was a very significant prize and they gave it to us and said they would give it. So that meant one thing to me: We’re dealing with the right people,” Trump said during a meeting with reporters on Tuesday.
“No, it was not related to nuclear energy. It was related to oil and gas. And it was very nice of them,” the head of the White House responded to an additional question about the nature of the alleged gift from Iran.
“Yes, it was related to the flow and the strait,” he added, referring to the Strait of Hormuz, which is the world’s key artery for transporting oil and gas and which Iran has closed to the ships of countries it considers allies of the US and Israel.
