The spokesman of the Bratislava Regional Court, Pavol Adamčiak, sent the court’s decision to Novinka. “The proposal to take the requested person into preliminary custody was delivered by the Regional Prosecutor’s Office in Bratislava on March 22, 2026. The Regional Court in Bratislava decided on March 23, 2026 that the requested person was taken into preliminary custody, while the court did not replace the detention with the supervision of a probation and mediation officer,” said Adamčiak.
According to the spokesman, the requested person filed a complaint, which will be decided by the Supreme Court of the Slovak Republic after the case is delivered.
The other two accused in the case, who were detained in the Czech Republic, were sent to custody by the District Court in Pardubice, according to the Czech police announcement on Tuesday.
The Czech police is trying to extradite the third suspect from the terrorist attack who was detained in Slovakia. He is also looking for other suspects.
Among those detained are persons from the Czech Republic and the United States of America. The police assured on Tuesday that they have not noticed any other threats. “We have no indication that there is any further danger to the public,” police said on the X network.
The accused in the Czech Republic face 20 years in prison, or even exceptional punishment. Not one of the accused admitted guilt, they generally did not testify. “The reasons for detention are all three, i.e. fear of escape, influencing witnesses and co-accused, who have not yet been identified, and fear of continuing criminal activity,” said the spokesman of the Pardubice District Court, Karel Gobernac, who also decided on detention.
