The Slovak General Prosecutor’s Office stopped the investigation in the case of the Czech reporter

According to the newspaper Sme, the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Slovak Republic has now stated that the act is not a crime. The editors of the Seznam Zprávy website have previously objected to the investigation and described it as intimidation of journalists.

“The conclusion that the act for which criminal prosecution was initiated is not a criminal offense and there is no reason to refer the case to the prosecutor’s office is sufficiently justified,” wrote Zuzana Drobová, spokeswoman for the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Slovak Republic.

According to Seznam Zpráv, Ciroková filmed a report in Slovakia, which concerned the Ukrainian religious movement AllatRa, active in 180 countries, including Slovakia and the Czech Republic. Ukrainian authorities raided AllatRa last year and are prosecuting the movement’s representatives. According to the server, Ciroková revealed last year that the leader of AllatRa, Igor Michajlovič Danilov, is hiding in Slovakia. In the Czech Republic and Slovakia, AllatRa is active primarily through the Creative Company project.

The Žilina prosecutor Lucia Pavlaninová participated in the investigation against Ciroková, who, according to the Slovak media, supported the Creative Society in the past, so she could be in a conflict of interest. The prosecutor resigned last week and will face disciplinary proceedings.

According to experts, the AllatRa movement is considered a pseudo-religious sect that spreads conspiracy theories and supports pro-Kremlin propaganda. In Ukraine, its members are suspected of treason.
