Kosovo citizens living abroad will have the opportunity starting from Wednesday until May 17 to register to vote in the early parliamentary elections on June 7. CEC spokesperson Valmir Elezi informed that the voting in diplomatic missions will be held on June 6.
“The registration of voters outside Kosovo will start from today, May 6 and will end on May 17. So, during this 12-day period, all citizens of Kosovo living abroad can apply to register as voters outside Kosovo, to vote either physically in one of the diplomatic missions or to vote by mail. At the time of registration, the applicant can individually select the way he wants to vote in this election process”, he declared.
Elezi also reminded the voters that they have 12 days available for the procedure of changing the voting center.
“Also during today, May 6, the Central Election Commission will enable the change of voting center for voters within a certain municipality. So, during this period from May 6 to May 17 for 12 days in a row, all voters can confirm their address where they are scheduled to vote on June 7. But, if they want, it is up to them to change it within the respective municipality where they are designated as voters,” he adds.
Meanwhile, until May 7, political subjects have time to notify the central election commission whether or not they will participate in the elections, as well as make the corresponding declaration if they choose to compete as part of a coalition.
