Almost 60 percent of respondents in the survey agreed with the statement that Zelensky is “prolonging the war”. On the contrary, 33 percent of the respondents believe that the Ukrainian president is “justifiably defending his country”, and approximately 7 percent of people could not assess the situation.
At the same time, the data shows significant polarization between the voters of individual political parties. Above all, this critical view clearly dominates among supporters of the Direction of Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico and the extreme right-wing Republic.
Among the followers of the Direction, it is 94 percent, and even 96 percent of those surveyed for the Republic, who consider Zelenský to be the one prolonging the war.
In the electorate of more liberal parties, this share is significantly lower. The majority of voters of the opposition parties are convinced that Zelensky is rightfully defending his country. The closest share is among voters of the Slovakia movement, where 43 percent of respondents blame Zelenský for prolonging the conflict.
