The fight for the White House: Harris began to lose popularity

Since the end of July, Kamala Harris has been ahead of ex-president Donald Trump by four percentage points. The latest data from analyzes of the presidential campaigns of both candidates indicate that in September the numbers began to stabilize, despite the fact that the only debate between the two candidates took place this month, on which the whole world focused their attention.

Data from the latest NBC News poll revealed that both candidates have the same 48 percent ahead of the upcoming election. This means a big turnaround for Harris, as last month she still had a lead of five percentage points.

According to the survey, Harris has the biggest losses among black voters. Low numbers are shown among men who would like Harris to be president. Harissa’s supporter Barack Obama addressed these groups during an election rally in Pittsburgh.

“Partly I think – and I’m talking directly to men – that you just don’t feel like a woman becoming president, and you’re inventing other alternatives and other reasons,” he said.

In the ABC News survey among voters, Harris is still leading, with 50 percent to Trump’s 48 percent. The same survey last month showed preferences in the ratio of 52 to 46 percent. It is the same with the results of the agency IPSOS.

Harris does even better in a survey by CBS News and the British analytical company YouGov, with a ratio of 51% to 48%.

The summary of the latest data, which was issued by a wide range of agencies, still shows a lead of Kamala Harris by 1.4 percentage points, but at the same time a big loss, writes BBC News. On the day President Joe Biden dropped out of the race, he trailed Trump by an average of nearly five percentage points in seven states.

There are 50 states in the US, but since most of them almost always vote for the same party, there are actually only a few states where both candidates have a chance to win. These states are called swing states, and the candidates there deny their greatest efforts for potential voters. At the moment, the polls in seven of these states are very close, and according to the averages, none of the candidates has a decisive lead.

Americans will head to the polls on November 5th.
