The support of the strongest ANO movement remains stable at the mentioned 33 percent, compared to September it increased by half a percentage point. ODS lost 1.5 percentage points. However, the SPD fell the most, its support dropped from 11 percent in September to the current seven. But the party also had similarly low numbers in the summer polls.
Pirates dropped from 9.5 to eight. On the contrary, the STAN movement, which was supported by 9.5 percent of respondents a month ago, gained strength.
The support of the People’s Party, which is part of the government coalition, fell to two percent.
“Below the five percent threshold needed to enter the House of Representatives are TOP 09, KSČM, Přísaha (4.5 percent), SOCDEM (4 percent) and Motorists (3.5 percent). The Greens, People’s Party and PRO 2022 all have 2 percent,” said Median.
If the gains of the parties were calculated in terms of mandates, ANO would have 86 seats, ODS 34, STAN 30, Pirates and SPD 25 each. ODS, STAN and the Pirates would get 89 seats together
“A possible coalition of ANO + ODS would have a majority of 120 members of parliament. The ANO + SPD coalition would have a majority of 111 deputies. A two-party coalition could also be formed between ANO and the Mayors (116 mandates) and ANO and the Pirates (111 mandates). The current government coalition (ODS, TOP 09, KDU-ČSL, STAN) would claim 64 parliamentary mandates,” described Median. He pointed out, however, that the model does not take into account possible pre-election coalitions of the Together type.
He also drew attention to the fact that people’s willingness to go to the polls is decreasing, expressed by 46.5 percent of respondents in the current survey.
