1. The longest slopes
As a rule, the longest slopes are made up of connecting slopes. These are usually of a milder nature. Rondo in Klínovec, there is a connecting slope a little over five kilometers long. The elevation gain is 500 meters. In the past years, this track was restored after a long time.
In Moravia in a ski area Ramzová we find the Šerák slope, which is over three kilometers long. Like the Rondo, it is more for beginner skiers who are looking for moderate terrain. In the Kouty nad Desnou ski area, we can find the second longest slope in Moravia. It bears the name Comfortable and measures three kilometers.
2. The most famous skiing
Most Czech films were clearly shot in Špindlerův Mlýn. Tens of thousands of people visit this resort in the Krkonoše mountains every season and it’s worth it. The local slopes are famous not only here, but also abroad. It is also a venue for sports competitions, such as World Cups.

3. The steepest slope
Ski area Spitz in Šumava attracts skiers and snowboarders to one of the steepest slopes in our country. The slope Šance has a slope of up to 45 degrees in the steepest part. In addition, unlike other black slopes, Šance is not groomed in its main passage, which ensures it a leading place in the ranking of demanding Czech slopes. During the descent, you will overcome an elevation gain of 330 meters.
4. The most exotic skiing
Skiing in the area can be a curiosity and an interesting experience German girls. These are the lowest situated campus in Central Europe. The lower part is located at an altitude of 180 meters, the highest point of the slope at 240 m above sea level. The total elevation of the slope is around 60 meters. In favorable snow conditions, two slopes are in operation, you can drive around the vineyards when you go down.
5. Skiing closest to Prague
Ski resort Chotouň is located about 30 kilometers from the metropolis. It offers all skiers and snowboarders the opportunity to practice their favorite sport without having to travel far to the mountains. Parking in the complex is free in several areas within direct reach of the lifts.
6. Best for families
At this point, it is worth noting that ski resorts have come a long way in recent years in being friendly to families. Almost everyone has at least one slope adapted for beginners, an auxiliary belt instead of lifts, but also other specialties that make the ride easier. Even so, we bring a selection of those that are worth the most.
Ski resort Black Mountain above Janské Lázně undoubtedly belongs to the top family ski resorts in Bohemia. Annual investments in improving and modernizing services are reflected in a wider and more comprehensive offer for small and large skiers. There are three children’s parks in the area.
Another place suitable for families is ski area Lipno. In it you will find the Bambini Park, a place intended for the little ones, which is free to enter and you can even wear normal shoes there. Further in the complex you will find the Fox park, which is also intended for children and offers moving belts.
Also ski area Lower Moravia in the area of Králický Sněžník belongs to the youngest Czech resorts. Already at the time of its creation, it started targeting families with children and this focus is strengthening year by year, whether it is building children’s parks or other various activities, such as the Trail in the Clouds.
