The atmosphere of November 28 has been felt today in every corner of Albania and Kosovo, where the celebrations for the 113th anniversary of the declaration of Independence have filled the squares, streets and border points with red and black flags, folk songs and dances.
In Tirana, Pristina, Vlora and all the way to the borders of the country, citizens and travelers have become part of the national joy, turning Flag Day into a great nationwide celebration.
In Pristina, the streets are lined with red and black flags that wave proudly, creating a lively atmosphere full of excitement.
This holy day for the nation has united the hearts of Albanians, as many of them from Kosovo have chosen to cross the border to celebrate with their brothers in Albania, making November 28 a living bridge of unity and national pride.
The Kosovo Security Force (FSK) has today paid homage at the “Adem Jashari” Memorial Complex in Prekaz, as part of the activities to mark the November Holidays.
Generals and senior officers of the KSF and the Ministry of Defense honored the sacrifice of the Jashari family and all the martyrs who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of the country.
In their announcement, the FSK emphasized that“On this occasion, the sacrifice of the Jashari family and of all the martyrs who fell for the freedom and independence of Kosovo was honored, the sacrifice of all the generations who fought and sacrificed for the homeland.”
The Organization of Veterans of the Kosovo Liberation Army (OVL-UÇK) also performed tributes in Prekaz.
Its chairman, Hysni Gucati, speaking to journalists, said that these celebrations remain incomplete without the former leaders of the KLA, Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi, who are being held in The Hague.
He added that “We wish you the four November holidays: the raising of the flag in Krujë by Skenderbeu in 1443, the proclamation of Albania’s Independence in 1912, the birthday of the legendary commander in 1955 and the appearance of the KLA on the scene. These holidays are incomplete because the leaders of the KLA are being held unjustly in The Hague. But we hope and believe that next year we will celebrate them. together with them.”
The “Adem Jashari” Memorial Complex in Prekaz is a symbolic place where the houses converted into museums and the graves of the fallen of the Jashari family can be found.
Near the grave of Shaban, Hamëz and Adem Jashari, the KSF Guard stands continuously, honoring the legendary commander and his entire family.
Adem Jashari, born on November 28, 1955 in Prekaz, became one of the founders of the Kosovo Liberation Army and entered history after the heroic three-day resistance against the Serbian army on March 7, 1998.
