The “Non-Governmental Organizations and Press Information Festival in the Balkans during the Republican Era” program was organized by the Yesevi Movement Association and the Media Workers Union (Medya-İş).
At the event held at Hacı Bayram Veli University Faculty of Communication on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Turan Society, non-governmental organizations and press activities of the Turkish and Muslim communities in the Balkans and the role of these structures in preserving cultural ties were discussed.
At the opening of the program, Yesevi Movement Association Chairman Mahmut Cömert, Medya-İş Deputy Chairman Sinan Özer, Hacı Bayram Veli University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Orbay and Dean of the Faculty of Communication Prof. Dr. Mehmet Sezai Türk made a speech.
Later, a panel was held on non-governmental organizations and press activities in the Balkans.
