The deputy of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), Ramush Haradinaj, has accused Prime Minister Albin Kurti of leading the country towards new elections, preventing the completion of the process of approval of the Law on Specialized Chambers.
In a press conference, Haradinaj called it unacceptable that the law remains unfinished at a moment that, according to him, is critical for the protection of the former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army.
“The law on the Special is not of a party, but of the 91 deputies of this legislature who voted for it in the first reading. It is very dishonest to leave this law in half, knowing its importance and the critical moment for the protection of the leaders of the KLA”. declared Haradinaj.
He called on the deputies to unite for the completion of the legal process, stressing that such an action is a responsibility towards the citizens and the country’s history.
“This law belongs to the 91 deputies who voted for it in the first reading. It’s time to unite and not be ashamed in front of history. That’s how it should be. However, as we saw today, the masks fell,” he said.
Haradinaj directly accused Prime Minister Kurti for the created situation, claiming that he has damaged the process of approving the law and the interests of the country.
“Kurti trapped both the law and the country. Kurti dealt a heavy blow to the Law on Specialized Chambers and the KLA, leaving it in half at the most critical moment”, said the AAK deputy.
According to Haradinaj, disapproval of the law could lead Kosovo to another election process, for which he holds the prime minister responsible.
“The same Kurti who led the country to elections three times before this time, is doing it again. This is the fourth time that he is leading the country to the elections. Same person, same decision maker“, he declared.
Further, Haradinaj used harsh tones towards the head of the government, accusing him of working against the interests of the state of Kosovo.
“Kurti is working to undo Kosovo, but he will not succeed. Kosovo is bigger than this pathological criminal”, said Haradinaj.
