The Commissioner of the European Union for Enlargement, Marta Kos, is conducting an official visit to Kosovo today, where she is expected to meet with the highest institutional leaders and civil society representatives.
According to the official agenda, the senior European official will first be received by the acting president of Kosovo, Albulena Haxhiu, in a meeting scheduled at 10:00.
Afterwards, Marta Kos will hold a meeting with the acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti. The Prime Minister’s Office announced that after the meeting, at 10:45, the two officials will hold a joint press conference.
The visit of the Commissioner for Enlargement comes at an important political moment for Kosovo, just three weeks before the new elections that are expected to be held in the country. The meetings are expected to focus on the European integration process, political developments and reforms related to Kosovo’s path towards the European Union.
