Of the voters abroad, 100,970 will vote through the mail, 3,518 through the mailbox in Kosovo, while 27,724 will vote physically in diplomatic missions.
23 political entities with a total of 917 candidates participate in the race for the 120 seats of the Assembly of Kosovo. According to the CEC, 603 men and 314 women are included in the election lists.
Kosovo went to early elections, after the country entered a new political and institutional crisis, not finding agreement on the election of the country’s new president after the end of Vjosa Osman’s mandate.
Beyond the discussions between the parties, the parties failed to find a consensus on a common name for the president.
