Kosovo and Albania take another important step for the Mediterranean Games “Prishtina 2030”

At the next meeting of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, the Draft Law on the ratification of agreements between the Government of the Republic of Kosovo and the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania for the Mediterranean Games ‘Prishtina 2030’ was approved.

The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has stated that the purpose of the agreements between the Government of the Republic of Kosovo and the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania is to ensure the successful organization of the Mediterranean Games Prishtina 2030 Mediterranean Games”.

In his speech, Kurti emphasized the importance of cooperation between the two countries for the realization of this major project.

The purpose of this agreement is to ensure the successful organization of the Mediterranean Games through a clear cooperation framework between the two countries where Kosovo acts as the host state while Albania acts as a partner for the organization of sailing discipline in Durrës. Through this cooperation, the full realization of the obligations arising from the contract of the host city and the relevant international documents is ensured. This project represents an important opportunity for increasing Kosovo’s international profile and for the development of sports and the economy. Basically, it is a strategic initiative that strengthens the cooperation between the two countries and promotes Kosovo in the international arena“, Kurti said./ KosovaPress
