In Edirne, the Edirne Mevlevihanesi was built during the 2nd Murat period.
After the Konya Mevlevihanesi, the work of Edirne Governor Yunus Sezer was launched for the revival of the Edirne Mevlevihanesi, which was built before the Mevlevihanesi of Istanbul and served in the Balkans.
The foundations of the building were reached with the excavations carried out in the garden of Muradiye Mosque, and by making use of historical sources and photographs, survey, restitution and restoration projects were prepared.
Construction works to re -remove the historical structure will begin with the groundbreaking ceremony on Friday, April 25th.

Governor Sezer, said in a statement, the longing of the Edirne Mevlevihanesi’nin re -revived and said.
Edirne and the Balkans for about 500 years, which emphasizes the old days of the Mevlevihane Sezer Sezer, said:
“Mevlevihane and its surrounding outbuildings were demolished in 1934. We have reached the foundations of the structure with the excavations. We hope that we are building the inscription. According to historical sources, the wooden Mevlevihane, built by Murat in the 15th century in the Muradiye Mosque Complex in the 15th century, consisted of Mevlevihane, Tekke buildings, Harem apartment, semahane, grandfather rooms and library.
Mevlevi dervishes, students and guests in the imarethane where the need for food was met in the house where the shadow of the minaret fell to the houses every day, bread and pilaf and zerde was served on Thursdays.
Edirne Mevlevihanesi served as a primary school in 1925, and then the Thrace General Inspector was demolished by General Kazım Dirik.
