“Dear Donald.” Before the meeting with Zelensky, Trump published his alleged pleading message

According to the description, the post that Trump published on the Truth Social platform is supposed to be a message that should have been sent on behalf of Zelensky by Denys Sienik, the representative of the Ukrainian ambassador in Washington. Attached was a request that the text be given to Trump.

The authenticity of the report published by the American ex-president has not yet been confirmed by the Ukrainian side. It is not even clear when it was possibly sent.

“Dear Donald, I hope you are well. I remember our recent phone call – it was really good. All of us in Ukraine want to end this war with a just peace. And we know that it is impossible to achieve this without America,” the text of the report begins.

“That’s why we have to try to understand each other and stay in close contact. We requested a meeting with you a few days ago and I really want to hear your thoughts directly and first hand. You know that I always speak with great respect about everything related to you, and that’s how it should be,” he continues.

“I can be in New York on Friday, which would be a good time to meet. I believe that it is important that we have personal contact and understand each other one hundred percent. Let me know if you’ll be in town at that time – I’d really like our meeting to happen as part of our efforts to help us end this war in a just way,” the writer concludes his plea.

“Little Ugly Gossip”

Before Friday’s meeting, Trump made it clear that the meeting was taking place at Zelensky’s request. This week, the Republican repeatedly criticized the financial and military aid that the administration of the current Democratic President Joe Biden provides to Kyiv.

At the same time, he accused Zelensky of treating her with “small, ugly gossip”. It was apparently a reaction to the Ukrainian president’s interview with the New Yorker, where Zelenskyi questioned Trump’s claim that he would quickly end the war with an agreement, and where he criticized his candidate for vice president, JD Vance, as “too radical”.
