If Iran attacks, Israel will strike back, Netanyahu said at the UN

Netanyahu also stated that Israel will do everything in its power to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, and called on the UN Security Council to reimpose sanctions on Tehran in this regard.

According to his claims, Israel destroyed 90 percent of Hamas rockets and killed or captured more than half of the 40,000 militants of this Palestinian terrorist movement in the Gaza Strip. If Hamas remains in power in the Gaza Strip, it will regroup, arm itself and attack Israel again, Netanyahu said before the UN General Assembly.

According to him, the war in the Gaza Strip can end immediately if Hamas surrenders, lays down its arms and returns the held Israeli hostages. Otherwise, Israel will fight until it achieves complete victory. After the end of the war, Israel is ready to support the local civil administration in the Gaza Strip, which will commit to peaceful coexistence with the Jewish state, Netanyahu claimed.

The Israeli army is still continuing its military operation in the Gaza Strip after around 1,200 people were killed in an attack by Hamas and other Palestinian terrorist groups last October. According to Hamas authorities, the Israeli operation in the Gaza Strip has claimed over 40,000 lives. There are also about a hundred Israeli hostages in Gaza who were dragged away by Palestinian terrorists – but it is not clear how many of them are still alive.

Hezbollah does not give Israel a choice

He also talked about fighting with Hezbollah. According to him, this Lebanese militant movement chooses the path of war. Israel has no choice, it can no longer tolerate an army of terrorists on its northern border, Netanyahu said.

In the last week, the situation in Lebanon intensified after a series of explosions of pagers and radios used by Hezbollah and the subsequent intensification of Israeli strikes against Hezbollah. According to the Israeli army, the targets of the raids, which take place mainly in the south of Lebanon, but also in the vicinity of Beirut and in the east of Lebanon, are Hezbollah facilities. Hezbollah also intensified airstrikes against Israel.
