Under the auspices of the Ministry of Health, the Balkan Countries Health Business Forum, which was held with the support of the International Health Services Inc. (USHAŞ) hosted by the Governorship of Edirne, ended with the panel organized with the participation of university rectors.
In the last panel of the organization, which aims to strengthen the partnerships with the Balkan countries and in the field of health and bring Türkiye’s modern health infrastructure together with international stakeholders, participating rectors from the regional rectors and Balkan countries gave information about the health infrastructure and tourism of their institutions.
Rector of Trakya University Dr. Mustafa Hatipler, the forum strengthens the ties between Türkiye and Balkan countries, he said.
Stating that relations were established within the framework of friendship and brotherhood with the Balkan countries, the orators said, “The bilateral talks were very positive. Together, it was seen that many issues that seem to be difficult to solve. We saw that permanent and sustainable studies can be done together.” he said.
Hatip, Edirne and Thrace have an important infrastructure in terms of health tourism, he added.
Rector of Tekirdağ Namık Kemal University Dr. Mumin Sahin said that they are doing important studies in the field of health.
Stating that the university has a health tourism certificate, Sahin said, “Our City Hospital has a health tourism certificate and we continue our work in coordination with the Provincial Health Directorate. Our hospital provides services in international standards and a reliable destination in health tourism.” he said.
Rector of Kırklareli University Dr. Rengin Ak said that there are cultural partnerships as well as geographical proximity with the Balkans.
Expressing that they attach importance to health tourism as a university, Ak, brain surgery and heart surgery in the field of good work said.
