The “Poet and scholar of the Second International Balkans Abdulfettah Rauf Symposium” began in Skopje, the capital of Northern Macedonia.
Balkan Studies Foundation, Skopje Yunus Emre Institute (YEE) and the Turkish Writers’ Association in cooperation with the opening program of the Symposium, representatives of Turkish institutions and organizations in the country attended the opening program.
President of the Writers Union of Türkiye Dr. Musa Kazım Arıcan, in his speech here, expressed their satisfaction for being the stakeholder of the symposium.

Sevba Abdula, President of the Balkan Studies Foundation, said that Abdulfettah Efendi has common points with Yiğit Pasha, İsa Bey and Yahya Kemal and that this name was extremely important in terms of the history of Skopje and the existence of the Ottoman Empire.
Academicians and researchers who are experts in their fields in the symposium that will end tomorrow in the symposium will discuss the poems of Abdülfettah Rauf’s poems, literary language, themes and Balkan literature.
