After the corruption scandal in Ukraine, Orbán strongly rejects pouring money into the “war mafia network”

Money from the European Commission is said not to be spent on the defense of Ukraine, but “the war mafia will steal it”. “It’s crazy. Thank you, but we don’t want any of it,” Orbán wrote on Facebook.

The head of the Hungarian government pointed out that in connection with the scandal, a minister was dismissed in Ukraine and the main suspect disappeared abroad.

“Our money is in a better place at home. This week we doubled the benefits for foster parents and decided to introduce the 14th pension. We don’t need blackmail and other financial demands of the Ukrainian president. It’s time for Brussels to finally understand what the EU money is for,” added Orbán.

In connection with the enormous corruption scandal surrounding the company Enerhoatom, the Ukrainian cabinet decided to dismiss the Minister of Justice Herman Halushchenko.

The criminal group was supposed to be led by a person referred to in the recordings as Karlson. According to deputy Jaroslav Železňak, this is businessman Tymur Mindič, who escaped from Ukraine a few days ago. He was supposed to be the boss of the so-called laundromats, where money obtained from bribes was laundered, especially during repairs to the energy network and securing power plants against attacks from the air. He is considered a close friend and colleague of Zelensky.
