A talk titled ‘The Place and Importance of Dervish Lodges in Turkish Culture’ was organized in Pristina by the Department of Turkish Language and Literature of the Faculty of Philology of Hasan Pristina University, in cooperation with the Human Rights and Freedoms (IHH) Humanitarian Relief Foundation and Yunus Emre Institute (YEE). In the talk where Prof. Dr. Ahmet Taşğın, a faculty member of Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University, was the speaker, the philosophical, intellectual and conceptual background of the Turks in the Balkans was discussed and the intellectual and socio-cultural reflection that Sarı Saltuk’s presence around the dervish lodge provided to the Balkans and the humanity of the world was discussed.

A talk titled “The Place and Importance of Tekkes in Turkish Culture” was held in Pristina, the capital of Kosovo.
The talk, organized by the Department of Turkish Language and Literature of the Faculty of Philology of Hasan Pristina University, in cooperation with the Human Rights and Freedoms (IHH) Humanitarian Relief Foundation and Yunus Emre Institute (YEE), was held in the conference hall of the Pristina YEE.
The talk, in which Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Ahmet Taşğın was the speaker, was attended by YEE Kosovo Coordinator Ramazan Yılmaz and Turkish Maarif Foundation Kosovo Representative Mehmet Nedim Aslan, as well as many guests.
In the interview, it was discussed what philosophical, intellectual and conceptual background the Turks in Rumelia and the Balkans had until today and how they approached different religions, sects and races.
The thought, philosophy and its socio-cultural counterpart that Sarı Saltuk, known as a dervish in the Balkans, brought to this geography by his presence around the lodge and presented to all humanity were also discussed in the interview.
