“We preliminarily estimated the damage at 50 million crowns, the intervention saved property worth 500 million crowns. The cause of the fire remains under investigation,” the fire department informed on Monday morning.
Even before the arrival of the firefighters, 24 people were able to escape from the flames. Firefighters do not report any injuries. Dozens of firefighters responded to the scene. They had to bring water to the fire by shuttle, so the police closed the surrounding streets to allow easier movement of firefighting equipment.
“The police have closed the nearest roads on Jezerní and Břeclavská streets. Modřická street is also partially closed, between the intersection of Moravská and Žižkovka streets. The bypass route leads through Vídeňská street,” the police informed on the X social network.
