Several drones flew from Lebanon. One of them hit Netanyahu’s private residence, which is located in the city of Caesarea, north of Tel Aviv.
The information was confirmed by the office of the Israeli Prime Minister, who stated that no one was home at the time of the attack. There were no injuries or casualties at the site, writes the Israeli server.
Iran later stated, according to the Irna agency, that the Lebanese Hezbollah movement, which Tehran supports financially and materially, was behind the attack.
“This action was carried out by the Lebanese Hezbollah,” the Iranian mission to the United Nations said in a short statement, quoted by Iran’s state news agency Irna.
The attack occurred only two days after Israel managed to eliminate the head of the political wing of the terrorist movement Hamas, Jahja Sinvár.
On Saturday, in addition to the attack on the Prime Minister’s house, the Lebanese Shia terrorist movement Hezbollah also struck northern Israel. The rocket attack seriously injured a 29-year-old man and slightly injured a 23-year-old man with shrapnel, reported Ha’arec daily.
Hezbollah has been attacking Israel regularly since the terrorist attack by Hamas on October 7 last year. In September, the Israeli army intensified the fight against Hezbollah and is conducting ground operations on Lebanese territory in close proximity to the border with Israel.
