“What has happened in Kosovo is an event that calls for broad consensus from all parties, i.e. a consensus that we join with a common position, whether to support this legal initiative that PDK has taken in this particular case, looking at and conforming to the legislation. I do not believe that it will remain in an initiative with propaganda purposes, so it must be serious,” said Zogaj.
He added that beyond the political debate, the issue is of a legal nature and should be treated as such.
“It seems to me that today, even Hashim Thaçi’s son has a rational thing; this is a legal battle first. Politicians in Kosovo, but also here in Albania, by transferring their own problems with justice, take them to Kosovo as well.”
Zogaj did not rule out the possibility of mistakes in court decisions, but emphasized that the justice system is built with degrees that correct each other.
“I can think that the court was wrong in the decision it gave or exaggerated the decision it gave. That’s why the justice system is built with levels, that one level can make a mistake and another level eliminates the error of another level. So battles are legal.”
