Firefighters and paramedics rushed to the accident, which occurred just before the entrance to Nesovice, before ten o’clock in the morning. “After a collision between a car and a truck, we are freeing the driver of the car. The road is impassable,” the fire department reported on the Threads social network.
“We sent ground resources and a helicopter to the scene of the accident. We airlifted the severely injured man to the Brno Faculty Hospital for controlled ventilation. We also had a second patient under our care, who after treatment was transferred to the Vyškov hospital for further care,” described rescue spokeswoman Michaela Bothová.
The police officers are now on the spot investigating how exactly the accident happened. According to the first information, the driver of the passenger car drove in the opposite direction for as yet unknown reasons. Due to the injuries he suffered, the police could not perform a breath test on him. The slightly injured truck driver had a negative breath test.
