Turkish Jazz Concert in Belgrade

“Breezes from Anatolia” Turkish jazz music concert was held in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia.

Anıl Şallıel and Mareechi Asu took the stage at the concert held by Yunus Emre Institute (YEE) in a theater hall in the capital.

At the concert, which took place with the participation of many guests and music lovers, the fascinating melodies of Anatolia were blended with the unique texture of jazz.

Şallıel, in his statement to the AA correspondent, stated that they have given concerts to approximately 3 thousand people in 4 cities in the Balkans so far and said, “This is Belgrade, the gateway of the Balkans to Europe. It is very important for us to give a concert in such a place.” he said.

Asu also said that the project is progressing extremely well and said, “We wanted to respect our roots. But we also wanted to appeal to modern people. We are getting very good reactions from people.” he said.

Yunus Emre Bilici, Deputy Coordinator of YEE Belgrade, stated that Anatolian melodies were blended in jazz format and met with the people of Belgrade, and that they, as YEE, operate in many areas.

“Breezes from Anatolia” Turkish jazz music concerts will meet music lovers in many cities in North Macedonia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Albania and Kosovo throughout December.
