According to Trump, former deputy Todd Blanche will become the acting minister of justice, Sky News reported.
Trump’s decision to fire Bondi comes at a time when his frustration with Bondi’s access to Epstein’s files was growing. It all came to a head last week, when Trump was supposed to have a rough fight with Bondi in the White House.
The head of the White House was bothered by the way the Minister of Justice proceeded in the case of the disclosure of files related to the deceased sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
He was upset that Bondi did not act quickly enough in prosecuting critics and opponents against whom the president wanted to bring criminal charges.
In a post on his social network, Trump described Bondi as an American patriot and a loyal friend who faithfully served as Minister of Justice in the past year. “Pam has done a great job overseeing a massive crackdown on violent crime across the country,” Trump said, announcing that Bondi will now move to the private sector.
Pam Bondiová is the second minister that Trump fired in a short period of time. At the beginning of March, he dismissed the Minister of Internal Security, Kristi Noemová.
