“Unfortunately, the attacked person succumbed to his injuries after being transported to the hospital. We are providing the family with crisis intervention and offered psychological help,” the police said on the X network.
The event happened around 2:00 PM in front of the building of the Secondary Industrial School of Chemistry (SPŠCH). According to Novinek, the student stabbed a younger classmate who was about to break up with him. According to witnesses from the scene, the attacker also threatened other people present at the incident with a knife.
“This is a boy from the fourth year, he stabbed a girl from the second year who broke up with him,” a witness told Novinkám.
People began to bring flowers to the scene of the tragedy.

The most difficult day in the history of the school
The school canceled the graduation exams and announced a director’s vacation. “Today is one of the most difficult days in the history of our school. A student of our school was attacked in front of the school building. It is with deep regret that I have to inform you that the student who was attacked succumbed to her injuries in the hospital,” the high school management said on its website.
At the same time, the school expressed its sincere and deep condolences to the family, loved ones, classmates and everyone affected by this loss.
“The police of the Czech Republic intervened immediately, detained the suspect on the spot and are investigating the incident. The building was evacuated for preventive reasons and a subsequent inspection confirmed that it is safe on the school premises,” said school representatives.
At the same time, the school asked for consideration: “Please do not spread names, photos or unconfirmed information. You are protecting the affected family, our pupils and the entire school community. Only the Police of the Czech Republic is commenting on the circumstances and the investigation.”
