The Russian attack destroyed the Czech Center in Kyiv

“Russia is destroying Ukrainian lives and property, this morning also ours, the Czech one. As a result of the Russian missile attack on Kyiv, the Czech center was destroyed by a pressure wave. Fortunately, no one was there. But there were civilians in the surrounding apartments,” Lipavský said in the post.

The director of the center, Tereza Soušková, also commented on the situation. “When I see my own office damaged by a Russian attack, I think that the almost three-year-long Russian aggression is as cynical as it was at the beginning and is completely beyond human understanding. The Russian regime is attacking civilians and cultural centers that are supposed to support cooperation and coexistence between countries,” Soušková told Novinkám.

According to the newspaper Ukrainska pravda, five embassies – Albania, Argentina, Montenegro, Portugal and North Macedonia – were damaged during Friday’s Russian attack on Kyiv, as well as the representation of the Palestinian Authority in Kyiv. “Such an attack requires a very sharp diplomatic response,” said Portuguese Foreign Minister Paulo Rangel. Due to the blow and damage to the embassy, he summoned the Russian chargé d’affaires ad interim because the Russian ambassador in Portugal is not present, RTP reported.

Russia attacked Kiev on Friday morning. The mayor of the city, Vitalij Klitschko, said that the attack left at least one person dead and another nine injured. Four of them had to be hospitalized.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, this was retaliation for Wednesday’s Ukrainian attack on the Rostov region, for which Ukraine used American ATACMS missiles and British Storm Shadow cruise missiles.
