The Pakistani plane is heading for the Eiffel Tower. The controversial ad scared the French

With its advertisement, PIA revived the unpleasant memories of the terrorist attack on September 11, 2001, when Islamic terrorists seized four planes, which they collided with, among other things. to the towers of the World Trade Center in New York.

PIA resumed flights to the French capital on Friday after a four-year ban on entering European airspace. The reason for the restriction was the plane crash in Karachi in southern Pakistan in 2020, in which 97 people died.

The tragedy was the result of human error, which prompted Pakistan to admit that about 260 of its pilots had fake licenses to fly or had obtained them by cheating on exams.

The European Union lifted the ban last November, saying that “sufficient confidence has been restored” in the ability of Pakistani authorities to control air traffic safety. However, France is still one of the countries that has now allowed Pakistani planes into its airports. Pakistani airline machines are still not allowed in the USA or Great Britain.

“Return with a bang,” the French server LePoint commented on the ad. At the same time, not only the plane right in front of the Eiffel Tower is causing a stir, but also the fact that the word PARIS is written in capitals, while the foot of the letter R is somewhat further away from the remaining two letters.

Optically, the name of the French capital seems to be divided into two parts – PAR and IS. While PAR is the international code for the airport in the Paris agglomeration, IS is the abbreviation of the terrorist organization Islamic State. “Is it a coincidence?” asked the newspaper Bild.

Thousands of people reacted to the controversial ad on social networks, many of whom did not hide their horror. They demand that PIA immediately withdraw the post and fire the designer of the image.

Nevertheless, the first PIA flight on the Islamabad–Paris route took place. The Boeing 777-240 from Pakistan took off with a slight delay and landed at the Charles de Gaulle airport after about eight hours, slightly ahead of schedule and without the slightest problem.
