The exception is those positions for which the procedure for issuing an employee card, blue card or employment permit for a foreigner is ongoing. In such cases, the job remains in the register until its termination.
“With this measure, we want to ensure that the registration of vacancies reflects the actual state of supply on the labor market as accurately as possible,” said Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Marian Jurečka (KDU-ČSL). According to him, people will thus gain access to an adequate offer of positions.
“The current data in the register will also significantly increase the efficiency of the mediation activity of the labor office,” added the minister.

The introduction of the six-month period follows from the amendment to the Employment Act, which came into effect in July.
Vacancies will be removed from the labor office database during the first weekend of January. Information on which vacancies employers have registered even after this date can be checked on the Ministry’s web portal after entering the employer’s ID number.
