The announcement of the final decision in the judicial process against the former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army in the Specialized Chambers in The Hague has been postponed to July 20, 2026.
The news was confirmed for RTK by Luka Mishetiq, the lawyer of former president Hashim Thaçi, who confirmed the accuracy of the media reports on this postponement.
“I can confirm that this is correct.” stated Mishetiq, responding to RTK’s interest in whether the decision has been postponed to July 20.
Initially, the verdict was scheduled to be announced on May 19, in accordance with procedural deadlines. However, according to the court regulations, the panel has a deadline of 90 days to announce the decision, with the possibility of postponement for up to 60 additional days.
The case in question is considered among the most important judicial processes in The Hague and its conclusion is expected with high public interest.
