She spoke about the punishment given for war crimes, expressing the deep disappointment of the people of Kosovo. As she was asked about the experiences of Thaçi’s family, being close to them, she burst into tears and remembered Mr. Thaçi’s late father, who passed away last year.
“We don’t give up. Let’s all make efforts together to get out of this situation, from these unjust accusations”she said.
“History cannot be rewritten. They are heroes of liberation, of independence, of Albanians. Let’s do our best to get out of this undeserved situation”, said Mrs. Hetemi.
She called on the Academies of Sciences of Albania and Kosovo to do the history of the two countries in order not to allow wrong narratives.
“We cannot allow these stains, these narratives. We must fight hard for the reality of Albanians to be revealed. We have neglected it, we have not done enough for the right to win”declared the former KLA fighter.
