The Finnish Prime Minister reprimanded Zelensky: Your drones over our territory are unacceptable

“It is unacceptable for Finnish airspace to be violated and for drones to enter it,” explained the situation to Orpo Zelensky during the meeting in Yerevan at the summit of the countries of the European Political Community.

The prime minister of the Nordic country had in mind several incidents from March and April, when the wreckage of Ukrainian drones appeared on Finnish territory, apparently originally aimed at targets in Russia, the website Yle recalled.

He also mentioned the Sunday flight of Ukrainian drones through Finnish territory early on Sunday morning. According to Orp, such disruption is always a serious matter.

“We are ready to monitor and defend our airspace against drones,” he announced during the meeting with Zelensky and stated that the Finnish army will further strengthen its anti-drone capabilities in the coming years.

Orpo also did not forget to add that his country still supports Ukraine and understands that it is defending itself. “It follows from the meeting that the Ukrainians will be more careful in the future so as not to fly over our territory,” he concluded, according to the Pravda portal.

President Zelenskyi later commented on the negotiations in Armenia on the X network and thanked Orpa for the support and the new Finnish financial aid package in the amount of 300 million dollars (approx. 6.2 billion CZK).
