The act took place on Saturday evening. The first reports stated that it happened in one of the apartment buildings in the south of the city. But the police denied that. They keep the crime scene a secret due to the young age of the victims.
The perpetrators are four boys and they come from Mali and Portugal. According to the website of the weekly Focus, the victims are German girls under the age of 14. “Two injured persons were admitted to the hospital in Halle for treatment, the other two injured were treated on an outpatient basis,” said police spokesman Alexander Junghans.
The first results of the investigation indicate that the girls were apparently drugged with so-called KO drops, which rapists abuse to drug their victims. “The samples that forensic experts secured on the girls should show whether so-called KO drops or drugs that can affect consciousness or will were used,” the police statement states.
It is not yet clear how the girls managed to free themselves from the perpetrators, nor who reported the case. The police refuse to disclose the details of the case due to the young age of the perpetrators and victims. “An investigation into the case has been launched. Three youths between the ages of 14 and 16 have been detained, the third, who is 13 years old, has been handed over to his legal representatives,” Junghans said.
If the public prosecutor’s office requests an arrest warrant, the three suspects will be brought before the investigating judge on Monday.
