The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, will meet this Friday (October 31) with the leaders of the country’s political parties to consult with the aim of verifying whether any political entity can secure the majority of 61 votes needed for a new Government.
The invitation to the political parties was sent by President Osmani a day ago, while readiness for consultations was expressed by the Vetëvendosje Movement, the Democratic Party of Kosovo, the Democratic League of Kosovo, the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo and the Social Democratic Initiative.
Albulena Haxhiu from LVV said that the party participants will be part of the meeting and will present their positions there.
We remind you that on Sunday, the attempt of the head of the Vetëvendosje Movement, Albin Kurti, to create a new executive failed.
The Kosovo Assembly failed to vote for the “Kurti 3” cabinet, which received only 56 votes in favor, 52 against and 4 abstentions.
President Osmani had previously warned that, in case of failure of the vote, she would have ten days to call the political parties to consultations, in order to verify if any political entity can secure the majority of 61 votes necessary for a new Government.
