Vucic: Recognition of Kosovo by Syria, expected

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic declared that the recognition of Kosovo’s independence from Syria was expected, adding that “a government under the influence of Turkey has come to power in Syria”.

Vucic said it was “a distinctive handwriting from Antalya” and that it was now clear how much Bashar al-Assad’s liberal approach meant while he was in power.

“Now it was clear how much the liberal approach of Bashar al-Assad was for us while he was in charge of Syria, and it is clear that when someone comes who is under the great influence of one of the main countries in the region, such as Turkey, then it is not out of place to point out that something like this was completely expected”, stressed Vucic.

A day ago, Syria recognized the independence of Kosovo, becoming the 120th country in the world to recognize its independence.
