Chaos in a hobby shop near the city of Chambray-lès-Tours, where people were waiting for the opening on Friday morning to buy a cooler or fan to protect themselves from the heat, the Sudouest portal pointed out.
According to the portal, the shelves with the cheapest cooling devices were empty just a few minutes after the store opened, and during the chaos, several people suffered minor injuries.
A similar situation occurred in the newly opened store of the Action discount chain in the Paris district of La Défense. According to the Actu Paris website, the store was offering a mobile air conditioner for a promotional price of 179 euros (4,300 CZK), which was no longer available in other stores.
In recent weeks, the maximum temperatures in France have hovered around 40 °C, in several places even exceeding 45 °C. The French then share their hot pranks on social networks, for example one Parisian fried eggs and bacon in a pan on the window.

Due to the heat, the authorities in Paris temporarily banned the sale and consumption of alcohol in public, with the exception of restaurants and bars.
